Quincy Smith President, CBS-CNET Interactive turns to scamming?

Make that "Former CBS Interactive Chief Quincy Smith"
......of course not.
Scammers have gotten so brazen that they used Quincy Smith's image on a fake shipping site:
http://www.copgcs.com/    http://whois.domaintools.com/copgcs.com

The image is located on the "agents" page
http://copgcs.com/agents.htm
(see image below if the site is killed)
amongst the old images of current and former employees of  Pickford Escrow Company Inc located in California.
Mr. Smith's image is being used as:
Timothy Robbins
CRYSTAL PALACE , LONDON Sales and Marketing Representative
The same image is used in this article:
http://www.businessinsider.com/sa100/2008/quincy-smith
and on the CBS Interactive site:

The fake shipping and escrow site copgcs.com is a common Romanian scam template that has been used hundreds of times over the years.
See some of the older sites here:

The fake company lists its contact information as:

WEMBLEY , LONDON, HA0 4QG
Fax Number: +44 207 691 9448

The scam site is hosted by our good friends at SANTREX
http://www.santrex.net/
...notice at the bottom of the page they list the types of payments they accept?
Like many other web hosting companies, Santrex accepts anonymous payments for services through companies such as  Western Union, just like the scammers do!

The files are located on a server at:
CustName:       Hosting Services Inc.
Address:        223 West Jackson Blvd STE 1014
City:           Chicago
StateProv:      IL
PostalCode:     60606
Country:        US
File complaints here:
OrgAbusePhone:  +1-214-442-0601
OrgAbuseEmail:  abuse@softlayer.com

The fake site is registered to an identity in Atlanta, Ga.
It might be that this person's stolen credit card data or PayPal account were used to create the hosting at Santrex.
The scammer is using the Yahoo email account:
mfaxes@yahoo.com

Here are some images of the fake site including the page containing the image of Quincy Smith, or as the scammers like to call him, Timothy Robbins.

Oh! what a tangled web we weave When first we practise to deceive! Sir Walter Scott NEVER use instant payment services like Western Union or MoneyGram to buy items on the internet
